Teaching and Workshops
For nearly two decades, from 2006 to 2023, I've had the privilege of sharing my passion for art across continents and online platforms, touching the lives of thousands of students worldwide and helping them to discover their artistic voice and/or achieve artistic goals.
In my workshops, whether in Europe, Canada, the U.S., Australia, Asia, or Israel, I've focused on unlocking personal creativity through mixed media, painting, and general craft techniques. I had the privilege of collaborating with renowned companies such as Liquitex, PanPastel, Windsor&Newton, Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L, and Tonic Studios, demonstrating their products and techniques to inspire both budding artists and seasoned creators.
From 2015 to 2020, I served as a faculty member for Mixed Media Continuing and Professional Studies at Pratt Institute. Additionally, my speaking engagements, including "The Basics of Teaching Online" at AFCI Creativation+ 2021, have allowed me to share insights and strategies with peers and enthusiasts alike.
At the heart of my teaching philosophy lies accessibility and inclusivity, reflected in my online workshops, hosted at my platform at n*Studio. I was the founder and sole organizer of the annual Creative JumpStart Summit, launched in 2012 which ran until 2022, an online platform for artists to share what inspires them to be creative with 1200 to 1500 students annually. During the month of January subscribers/participants viewed a video featuring an Artist of the Day. Each artist demonstrated techniques and explained his/her/their personal approaches to creativity. I've also collaborated with esteemed platforms like Sketchbook Skool, Wanderlust, and Craft.Edu, fostering creative communities and nurturing individual artistic voices.
My commitment to education extends beyond workshops; I've produced educational DVDs such as "Colorful Foundations" and "Creating Texture Canvases," empowering artists to explore and innovate at their own pace. Additionally, my downloadable lessons with Cloth Paper Scissors have been a resource for artists seeking tactile inspiration from nature and street art.
While my focus has shifted away from certain teaching endeavors, I continue to offer team-building workshops, reflecting my enduring commitment to empowering individuals through art and education. I cherish the impactful experiences from collaborations with institutions like J.P. Morgan in Luxembourg and Google in NYC.
